These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Veristrom platform at veristrom.ai ("Service"), operated by Veristrom ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
Veristrom is a privacy-first AI chat platform that allows you to interact with third-party large language models (LLMs) while scanning your messages for personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive data before they are sent.
The Service currently supports the following AI models:
The available models may change over time as we add, update, or remove integrations.
To use the Service, you must create an account using one of the following methods:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Age requirement. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information.
One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts, share your account credentials with others, or transfer your account to another person.
We reserve the right to suspend your account without prior notice if we detect suspicious activity, including but not limited to: unusual login patterns, signs of credential compromise, automated access attempts, or activity that suggests your account may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you and restore access once the issue is resolved.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:
You retain ownership of all content you submit through the Service, including your chat messages and uploaded files. By using the Service, you grant Veristrom a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (e.g., routing messages to the selected AI model, storing your chat history).
The Service, including its design, code, features, brand assets, and documentation, is the property of Veristrom and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.
The PII detection engines, document classifier, secrets detector, and all associated detection rules, patterns, algorithms, and logic are proprietary to Veristrom and constitute trade secrets. You may not extract, reproduce, reverse engineer, or use any detection logic from the Service for any purpose outside of your normal use of the platform.
The Veristrom name, logo, and all related brand marks are trademarks of Veristrom. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent, except to refer to Veristrom in a factual, non-misleading manner.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service ("Feedback"), you grant Veristrom a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate that Feedback into the Service without any obligation or compensation to you. You acknowledge that Veristrom may already be developing similar features independently.
PII detection is an assistive tool, not a guarantee. Veristrom's PII scanning engine uses pattern-matching rules to identify potential sensitive data in your messages and files. While we strive for accuracy, no automated detection system can catch every instance of PII or sensitive information.
You are solely responsible for reviewing the results of PII detection and making informed decisions about what to redact, modify, or approve before sending your messages to an AI model. Veristrom does not guarantee that all sensitive data will be detected, and we are not liable for any PII that passes through undetected.
When you send a message through Veristrom, your message (after any redactions or modifications you choose) is transmitted to the third-party AI model provider you selected. These providers process your data under their own terms and privacy policies:
Veristrom is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or reliability of responses generated by third-party AI models. AI-generated responses may contain errors, biases, or inaccuracies. You should not rely on AI responses as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.
Third-party AI model providers may update their terms, privacy policies, and data handling practices at any time. Veristrom does not monitor or control these changes and is not responsible for notifying you of updates to third-party provider terms. We recommend reviewing the linked provider terms periodically.
Your privacy is fundamental to the Service. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Key points:
Infrastructure. The Service is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States. Your data is processed and stored in accordance with industry-standard security practices and compliance certifications.
Veristrom offers Free and Pro subscription tiers. The Free tier requires no payment. The Pro tier is billed at the rate displayed on our pricing page, either monthly or annually, depending on your selection.
Pro subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
All fees are charged in US dollars and are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or if Veristrom terminates your account without cause, in which case we will issue a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to process it for up to 7 days. If payment cannot be collected, your account will be automatically downgraded to the Free tier. No data will be deleted.
If you downgrade from Pro to Free, or your subscription expires:
Your chat history and files will be retained.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
Planned maintenance. When possible, we will provide reasonable advance notice of scheduled maintenance that may affect Service availability.
Modifications. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. This includes changes to available AI models, features, rate limits, and pricing.
Force Majeure. Veristrom shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, power outages, internet disruptions, cyberattacks, government actions, pandemics, or failures of third-party infrastructure or AI model providers.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.
Without limiting the foregoing, Veristrom does not warrant that:
You acknowledge that no automated detection system is perfect and that the detection features are provided as an assistive tool. You are solely responsible for reviewing detection results and deciding what to send to AI models.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Veristrom and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
By You. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the profile menu in the application. Account deletion permanently removes all your data, including your user profile, chat history, conversation topics, uploaded files, and login event history.
By Us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, are engaging in activity that could harm the Service or other users, or are using the Service in a manner that creates legal risk for Veristrom. If we terminate your account without cause, we will issue a pro-rated refund as described in Section 9.
Effect on Teams. If your Pro account is terminated or downgraded, team members you invited will revert to their own individual Free accounts. They will not lose their own data but will lose access to Pro-tier features and models.
Inactive Accounts. If your account remains inactive (no login) for more than 12 consecutive months, we may delete your account and associated data after providing 30 days' notice to your registered email address.
Survival. The following sections shall survive any termination or expiration of these Terms: Section 5 (Intellectual Property), Section 6 (PII Detection Disclaimer), Section 11 (Disclaimer of Warranties), Section 12 (Limitation of Liability), Section 13 (Indemnification), and Section 15 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution).
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Binding Arbitration. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in the State of New Jersey, or remotely at your election. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class Action Waiver. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.
Informal Resolution First. Before filing an arbitration claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Small Claims Exception. Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in the State of New Jersey as an alternative to arbitration.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
Minor changes (typo corrections, formatting, clarifications that do not affect your rights) may be made without notice.
Material changes (changes to liability, billing, data handling, arbitration, or your rights and obligations) will be communicated to you via email to your registered email address at least 30 days before they take effect. We will clearly identify what has changed.
If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may terminate your account within 30 days of the notification. Continued use of the Service after the 30-day notice period constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
